Here is a point to ponder.
Take the word multiply and look it up on the dictionary.
The bottom line of the words meaning is to increase.
Now look up the word increase and see its definition.
1...It is to have more than what you began with ( RIGHT ? ) You cannot have the same amount that you began with and call that increase, also, you cannot have less than what you began with and call that increase ( RIGHT ?)
Now what is the symbol for multiply ??  Its the X ( RIGHT ? )
Remembering the above definitions do the multiplication 1x1=?
1 multiplied by 1 is 2 not 1.
or rather ,, 1 increased by 1= 2


Yea right!!!     we all know the mechanics of the problem is correct but the definition of multiply SEEMS wrong for the mathematical problem.
